Yes, we allow small pets to enter the space, but you must clear it with us, PRIOR to the date of your session. All animals must be leashed/crated when moving to and from the studio. You must clean up after any mess they make and remove it from the building and surrounding areas. If they destroy anything, you will be responsible for the cost of repairs.

We do not allow animals for photos session that are not pets unless there is an animal trainer present. While photos of children holding baby animals at Easter might look adorable, it is very dangerous to both the animal and the client without a trained handler around, and we do not promote that in our space.

Can I bring animals into the studio?

The studio is pretty much one open room, so it is usually best to only have one client in the studio at a time. However, we do have a meeting room you could have someone wait in. Or, you can have them wait in their car as the parking lot is a few steps from the studio!

Is there a separate waiting area if I am shooting multiple sessions in one rental?

All of the furniture in the studio is available for your use. We always have a bed, couch, and selection of chairs available. If you want to know exactly what is currently in the studio, please reach out via email and we can send you photos of our current offerings. Note: There is always a sheet or comforter on the bed, but it is not always changed between rentals so we suggest bringing your own linens if you plan to use the bed.

Can I use the furniture I see in the photos?

It really depends on what you are planning and how many guests you will have! It is a great space for a meeting, and could work for a small birthday party or shower. The best option is to message us, tell us a bit more about your event, and we can give you an answer or refer other places that might work for you!

Is the studio a good space for an event?

We do not allow open flames, smoke bombs, etc that can set off our fire alarms. We ask that you use common sense when using other messy items. It is your responsibility to leave the studio as you found it and clean up any mess you have made. You will need to bring the cleaning supplies you need. You will also need to dispose of the garbage in our on site dumpsters.

Can I do a cake smash? Use glitter? Colored powder? Smoke Bombs?

We do not offer any studio lighting equipment during rentals. You can feel free to bring some if you would like to use it.  The studio offers amazing natural light throughout the day!

Is there lighting equipment available to use?

The studio gets amazing natural light throughout the day. The windows face the east so we get the strongest dynamic sun in the morning, and more even diffused light throughout the day. As sundown approaches, we still have decent natural light up until about an hour before sunset. However if it is very cloudy or rainy, the natural light is obviously not as strong. And if it is a very sunny day, you can pull the curtains to help diffuse the light. Overall, throughout the daylight hours, there is a lot of natural light in the space and it is great to shoot anytime of the day- just depending on the look you are going for!

What time of day is the best time to shoot in the studio?

Certainly! Send us an email and we will send you some names of trusted photographers who are experts in the type of photography you are looking for!

I don't have a photographer, but love your space- can you find me one?

GENERAL STUDIO QUESTIONS

You can check the calendar on our booking page or send us an email.

How do I know if the date I need is available?

You can book instantly right on our booking page. If you have issues or questions, email us!

What is the process to book?

If you need to reschedule for any reason, please reach out to us via email, asap. We will do our best to reschedule you if possible, but it is not guaranteed. We understand things can come up, but we have turned down other rentals once you book, so as a general rule, all rentals are non-refundable or transferable. We suggest you take a retainer from your clients to protect yourself and cover your rental cost should they cancel on you.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

We know this can happen, but we cannot be held responsible for your bookings. If you do not fill your sessions, you can choose to leave early or come late, but we will not be refunding you for that time.  It is important to understand that we are turning down other rentals once you book and there are costs associated with holding your booking and therefore no refunds will be given for unused time.

If you are worried about this, you can always book a shorter time, and check in to add more time as you fill up your sessions, but we cannot guarantee the extra time will be available.

What if I book a rental for mini sessions, but don't fill them up, can I book less time?

The website does a great job of showing off the Studio, and we are always available to chat if you need additional info. If you still feel that you need to see the space in person, send us an email and we can set up a time for you to visit the space.

Can I see the studio in person before I book?

BOOKING & PAYMENT QUESTIONS

The studio rental is yours for the time you have it booked, so you will only be losing time if you are running late. If your clients are running late, you can handle that however best fits your business. We however will not extend your rental time for anyone running late. If you want to add time on to your rental, you can reach out to a studio manager via phone call or text to see if the studio is open to do so.

What if I am running late? Or my client is late?

If you find that you need more time while you are at your rental, you can call the studio managers to request this. If the studio is open, they will set things up to extend your rental, but this is not guaranteed. Payment for additional time is due immediately after your rental. If you cannot reach a studio manager, you should not stay after as another rental may be coming in after you.

What if I need more time once I am at the rental?

You need to factor setup and tear down times into your rental. We often have many rentals per day, so you need to make sure you do not enter early and you leave on time.

Can I come early to set up/ stay late to tear down?

We will provide you with a PDF with detailed directions once you book your session. You can park in our building lot for free.

How do I get to the studio? Where do I park?

If you need to get a hold of us before your rental, email is best- clpstudiorentals@gmail.com. If you need us the day of the rental, you can call or text Chelsey at: 412-608-7791

How do I contact the studio managers?

We do not provide studio lights or backdrops. You can feel free to bring them. We have plenty of plugs that you can use, and also carts to move equipment back and fourth as needed. If you are bringing a lot of equipment and need to use a cart you will need to use the freight elevator and get special instructions on how to do so BEFORE your rental.

Are there studio lights and backdrops available for me to use?
